Because there are so many diffierent mechanisms in use by ACC to contact the interest group members, the best way to push information to them is to put the information to communicate on a wiki or web page (called the "central page" below), then push that page address with a brief message in Facebook, Twitter and e-mail.

This page is intended to lay out the various places to post these messages, so that no one is left out.

  1. On the Facebook Group Page, write a brief message on the wall and "Attach" the link to the central page.
  2. On the Facebook Group Page, if it is an event, create an event and put link to the central page in the description.
  3. On the Facebook Group Page, "Message All Members" and write a brief message containing the link to the central page.
  4. On the Facebook Fan Page, write a brief message on the wall and "Attach" the link to the central page.
  5. On the Facebook Fan Page, if it is an event, create an event and put the link to the central page in the description.
  6. On the Facebook Fan Page, navigate into the event, "Update Fans Of" and write a brief message containing the link to the central page.
  7. On the Google Calendar, add an event and make sure to link it to the central page.
  8. Write an e-mail to the "AtlCurling" G-mail list (Jeff's G-mail account) and write a brief message containing a the link to the central page.
  9. Log into the "atlcurling" Twitter account and tweet a shortened version of the central link, making sure to include the hash tag #atlcurling.

It is worth noting that although the content of these messages is significantly similar, they need to be individually written to accommodate the quirks of each communication medium.
